Sometimes the universe delivers a body blow………

Sometimes the universe delivers a body blow in the form of an unexpected event that is a direct uppercut to your equilibrium: you lose your job, or your partner leaves you out of the blue, or someone you depend on decides to move to Zanzibar. But instead of panicking, take a deep breath – then breathe out a huge sigh of relief! You probably had a gut feeling about it anyway, because the energy of the place or situation was beginning to expire. Now it’s time to re-energize and begin a new phase – and you can design it however you want! It’s time to take charge of your life and be thrilled that you now have the personal power to change anything that you want. You can reinvent yourself, so get busy – change, create, design, take charge!

Fear, which is but an impression

You dismiss your last allies: hope and trust. There, you’ve defeated yourself. Fear, which is but an impression, has triumphed over you. The matter is difficult to put into words. For fear, real fear, such as shakes you to your foundation, such as you feel when you are brought face to face with your mortal end, nestles in your memory like a gangrene; it seeks to rot everything, even the words with which to speak of it. So you must fight hard to express it. You must fight hard to shine the light of words upon it. Because if you don’t, if your fear becomes a wordless darkness that you avoid, perhaps even manage to forget, you open yourself up to further attacks of fear because you never truly fought the opponent who defeated you.

Yann Martell

The Life Of Pi

To laugh often and much,

To win the respect of intelligent people

And the affection of children.

To earn the appreciation of honest critics

To endure the betrayal of false friends,

To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others,

To leave the world a bit better,

Whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, a redeemed social condition.

To know even one life has breathed easier because you lived,

This is to have succeeded.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Autobiography in Five Chapters by Portia Nelson

Chapter One

As I walk down the street,

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

I fall in.

I am lost…I am hopeless.

It isn’t my fault.

It takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter Two

I walk down the same street.

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

I pretend I don’t see it.

I fall in again.

I can’t believe I am in the same place.

But it isn’t my fault.

It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter Three.

I walk down the same street.

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

I see it is there.

I still fall in…it’s a habit.

My eyes are open. I know where I am.

It is MY fault.

I get out immediately.

Chapter Four

I walk down the same street.

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

I walk around it.

Chapter Five

I walk down another street.

Whatever you see, hear and experience……

Whatever you see, hear and experience in the world around you is a reflection of yourself. How you experience the world is a constant monitor of how you have been thinking about yourself and others. Knowing this, you can never blame anyone else for what happens in your life. It’s called taking responsibility. Do it and you will truly be on your way to spiritual evolution.

Girlosophy; The Oracle

Every word is a prayer……

Every word is a prayer. Every thought you hold in your mind casts a spell. Every action is a magical act. What you hold in your mind creates a result, so everything you think, everything you say, and everything you do has consequences.
